A Muslim marriage app for UK students and graduates.
University is where many British Muslims start thinking about marriage, and where many feel the pressure of dating culture. Zawaj is for people who want a serious, halal route, not a hook-up app.
Marriage on campus
Islamic societies, halaqas and friends help, but it can be hard to find someone who is ready for marriage rather than still deciding what comes next. Many students and graduates are far from their families and their home towns, so the usual introductions do not reach them.
Dating culture, without the pressure
Zawaj has no swiping or liking. You send a written proposal when you are serious, and voice and video calls open only after it is accepted. Read halal dating vs marriage apps.
Timing and expectations
Many people marry after graduation, when work and location are clearer. If you are earlier in your studies, be honest about timing, finances and family expectations. See questions to ask before nikah and Muslim professionals.
Family at a distance
If your family lives in another city or country, the Chaperone/Wali feature lets a parent or wali join the conversation remotely.
